JOINT DEPARTMENT COUNCIL (MBJ) MALAYSIAN ADMINISTRATIVE MODERNISATION AND MANAGEMENT PLANNING UNIT (MAMPU)
MAMPU MBJ contains of 37 members including the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretaries as follows:
(i) 20 members appointed by the Director General of MAMPU (Officers’ Party); and
(ii) 17 members selected by the employees who work at MAMPU (Workers’ Party).
MBJ MAMPU was established for the following purposes:
(i) to obtain extensive and comprehensive cooperation between the workers and employees of MAMPU on matters pertaining to the smoothness and welfare of the employees concerned;
(ii) to provide mechanisms for managing working conditions; and
(iii) to obtain various thoughts and suggestion from employees through the official representatives of the workers at MAMPU.
MAMPU MBJ meetings are held periodically once every three (3) months, four (4) times a year as follows:

Special meetings of MAMPU MBJ may be held at the request of the Chairman or Vice-Chairman. The date of the meeting shall be approved by the Officers. The matters discussed at the special meeting shall be limited to those set out in the notice of the meeting.
Minute of meetings shall be signed by the Secretary of both parties (Officers and Workers) and all decisions shall be reached by mutual agreement between both parties.
MAMPU may maintain or enforce an agreed decision if the matter does not conflict with government policy and is not affiliated with other agencies. Decisions related to Government policy or other agencies should be referred to the Public Service Department or other relevant agencies.
