PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION MODERNISATION COORDINATION COMMITTEE (JPPPA) MEETING
BACKGROUND
1. The Public Administration Modernisation Coordination Committee (JPPPA) Meeting is an information-sharing
platform between MAMPU and respective ministries, respective state governments, as well as selected agencies on matters related to public administrative modernisation.
2. Established in 2008, the meeting is chaired by the Director General of MAMPU. Members of the meeting consist of the Deputy Secretary Generals of Ministries, Deputy State Secretaries,Director General head of selected agencies together with Directors from MAMPU.
3. The JPPPA Meeting is held twice a year and it is a joint venture with the State Secretary offices to foster close cooperation and collaboration between the federal government and the state government agencies.
OBJECTIVES of JPPPA
The JPPPA Meeting aims to:
a) Enhance the awareness and understanding of members of meeting on public sector
administrative modernisation programmes and activities;
b) Enhance the coordination level between federal and state agencies in the implementation of public sector administrative modernisation programmes and activities;
c) Discuss the effectiveness of public sector administrative modernisation initiatives towards improving the public service delivery system;
d) Discuss smart partnership strategies in implementing programmes and activities towards the modernisation of the public sector; and
e) Allow members of the meeting to zoom into the public sector administrative modernisation initiatives at the
state level.
MEMBERS of JPPPA
The members of JPPPA are Deputy Secretary General of Ministries, Deputy State Secretaries, representatives of selected agencies and the Directors of MAMPU.
