The Public Sector Open Data Program is implemented to create an open data ecosystem that connects data owner agencies with open data users consisting of various groups including public sector agencies, industry and citizens.

Data published in the Public Sector Open Data portal ( www.data.gov.my ) can be used to produce innovations either in the form of applications, data products or used for research purposes.
