The Data Driven Government initiative is aligned with the first core of Public Sector Digitization Plan (PPSA) 2021-2025; the Utilization of Data Intelligence which to manage data as the Government’s asset. This core objective is to strengthen the management and coordination of data through the ‘Once Only Principle’ at national and public sector level to avoid people from providing the same information repetitively. Furthermore, it also aims to utilize data from various sources in order to enable the Government to gain value, deep understanding and insights, besides making quick decision accurately. In addition, this core supports the initiative of MyDIGITAL from the aspect of developing a data-driven digital service policy based on the available analytical data and artificial intelligence in improving the effectiveness of service offered to the people.
In line with the said objective, MAMPU has developed a Data-Driven Government Action Plan to initiate mechanism for data management and coordination according to Industrial Revolution 4.0 involving various data sources, open data, big data, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Blockchain and data sharing to ensure best data quality and value.
As a central agency that drives the Digital Government in the Public Sector, MAMPU has held a Public Sector Data Driven Seminar (BDSA) on 16th August 2022 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) as one of MAMPU’s efforts to introduce on Data Driven Government Blueprint to the Ministry and the Government Secretary’s Office State. Besides, this seminar was organized to provide a better overview on the creation of Data-Driven Government ecosystem through efficient and holistic public sector data management to drive the implementation of data-driven Smart Government. Some of the content during this seminar includes a knowledge sharing session, an intellectual forum and an exhibition of data-driven initiatives participated by the Ministries/agencies involved.
