INTRODUCTION TO RECORDS MANAGEMENT
A systematic and effective records management is important in the public sector to help them carry out their tasks and responsibilities, make informed decisions, and comply with the law. Records are created, received, and used to support daily transactions and provide accountability. Organizations should create and preserve authentic, reliable, and usable records, while also protecting their integrity for as long as neccessary.
Records can be created in various formats, including both traditional and electronic methods. Since 2014, MAMPU has been using a hybrid records, management system called DDMS 2.0 (Digital Document Management System 2.0).
As the process owner of Records Management in MAMPU, BKP is responsible for ensuring that employees understand the importance of efficient records management and are willing to fully utiliza DDMS 2.0.
